Some say the ‘alternate shot’ format of foursomes makes it the most difficult team game possible in golf.
It is a game where the words, ” I’m sorry” are often spoken.
Each year a Championship round over 27 holes is held to determine the club’s Foursomes Champions.
This year I am pleased to announce our new champions.
Congratulations to Gail Rutledge and Pam Middlebrook with a 27 hole score of 138. Pam was very pleased with Gail’s form, saying that Gail played very well and putted great sinking 3 birdie putts including a 3 metre putt on the third. Gail herself was delighted to win such an important title.
Runners up on the day were Judi O’Brien and Marie Farrant with a score of 142.
In the nett section our winners were Lidia Wayne and Tracey Watson with a score of 101.25.
Runners up were Jaimi & April Van Woerkom with a score of 102.75.
The stableford winner was Judy Casey with 29 points.
Congratulations to our new champions and thanks to all other players. A real challenge but worthwhile for the fellowship and enjoyment of the day.
More photos will follow.
