Sunday Mixed Results and Plans.
A very windy and cold morning did not discourage our Mixed teams in today’s 2 Person Ambrose.
Winners were John Anthony with Sylvia Karschies with a gross score of 71 (for nett 59). Nett winners were Col and April Van Woerkom with a net score of 62.75 which included a team eagle on the 12th hole.
Pat and Christine Paris were awarded 2nd place in the nett.
A BBQ was enjoyed after the game where some bottles of wine were shared amongst our hardy competitors. Many thanks go to Glen Bayo for his major contribution to the event and his cooking skills.
The next Mixed event is the Mixed Foursomes Championships to be held on Sunday September 29. This is a 27 hole event where we play the front nine, followed by the full 18 after that.
I’m sure our starters will allow you to book your team in if you ring and ask.
Some Plans for October.
In October the Sunday Mixed Organisers have planned two events.
Firstly, on October 13, a special 9 hole Ambrose event will be conducted from 9 am. There will be a draw for partners at 8.45. A BBQ and drinks will follow the golf.
Secondly, on Sunday October 27 a mixed 2 ball Aggregate Stableford will be contested with a 9 am hitoff.

Hooker Cup Triumph.
The “Hooker Cup” first semi-final has been played today. It was a tough fought matchplay battle finishing on the 18 hole.
Lidia Waine and Tracey Watson had a strong hold on the game 4 up with 4 holes to play. However, Pam Middlebrook and Helen Wainwright won the next 3 holes to send the game to the 18th.
Lidia and Tracey won the 18th winning the match 2Up. Congratulations team!
