Champagne Golf – What is it?
It is the beginning of a regular Thursday afternoon 5 – 9 hole event (5 – 7 pm). Played like a Kingsford Nine players will build cards to gain a handicap.
The ‘Get into Golf’ clinic players (+ friends) gain experience of the whole game of golf, from teeing off to putting in. It includes two hours out on the course allowing everyone to get close and personal with nature. Added to that, is an undefined amount of time on the deck (whilst sipping Champagne/soft drink) discussing best shots, trials of the water hazards, and general rules of the game.
Players only have to text message Kim Oborn (0427 167 617) or ring the Pro-shop (02 42 360 404) to register their interest each week for a low pressure, light-hearted, fun experience.
RESULTS: 16 players presented this week, willing to hone their skills.
