News from the Course

Course Conditions.

The recent rain has thrown a ‘dampener’ on the plans to resume playing the ball as it lies.

The Match Committee today reversed its decision following play in Wednesday’s Competition having noted that some fairways still require preferred lies.

Hence from Thursday 3rd of October 30cm preferred lies are allowed on the fairways.

If your ball is in the rough then you must play it the way you find it, ie, as it lies.

The only exception will be the 12th hole which is still recovering from the floods. If your ball lies on flood damaged ground on the 12th hole then you may take a free drop clear of the damaged ground not nearer the hole following the proper dropping procedures. Once dropped the ball is in play and only balls on the fairway can then be preferred.

This will apply until further notice.

Sunday 13th Mixed Competition is a 2 person Ambrose to be played over 9 holes with a BBQ after the game. The booking page is now open for Members.

Matchplay Results.

The Mens Individual Matchplay has now concluded with the winner being Peter Hackett who defeated Pat Paris 1 up in the final. Peter receives $150 for his victory while Pat is consoled with $100 for his second place. Beaten semi-finalists, Dan Adams and Rob Maclean each receive $50.
