News from the Course – 27 August

P1050297Changeable weather during the week saw golfers confused between winter and summer! Beautiful one day, wet and windy the next. Despite this some exceptional golf was played with some players able to shoot scores in the 40’s.

Two foursomes championships were held during the week and congratulations go to Jarrod and Adrian Gehrmann in the Mens, and Margaret Cook and Judi O’Brien in the Ladies.

Saturday also saw the return of Steve Rippon to golf and he didn’t disappoint after his 9 month layoff due to injury. Steve managed a six under par round of 61 off his plus 4 handicap and now has a +5 handicap. Unfortunately for Steve his nett score of 38 points was not good enough to win A Grade on the day as Tom Zimmerman beat him on a countback.
