Monies been counted and the weekend made over $6000 profit for the club with minor disruptions to normal operations. Social golfers were on the course by 2:30 every day.
FOOTGOLFS’ ORGANISER MEMO: I have been really taken out of my comfort zone in organising this but have had great Board Support—most freezing their butts of as Marshalls.
A big THANK YOU to the over 50 volunteers and Sponsors who as a member said made it the “BEST EVENT EVER”. It really was something special. This is what our club is about—volunteers doing the best they can, to keep our fees the BEST VALUE IN THE ILLAWARRA.
A special thanks to John Duncan (ex Greenkeeper) who inspired me to keep going with FootGolf—he could see the potential as a secondary form of income for the club. Martin has continued the good work—even changing FootGolf holes in response to Overseas expertise. Shaun did his usual great artistic work, we are so lucky to have you– amazing to watch.
The 6 month trial of FootGolf is up next week. Have a good think on how it has affected you personally . Any comments or suggestions—good or bad put in writing in Suggestion Book near the computer terminal in Golfers Lounge, or write a letter to the board. This will assist the board in upcoming descisions.
