2010 Jamberoo Junior Open

THIRTY young golfers representing ten clubs ranging from Mollymook in the south to Woolooware in the north teed off in magnificent weather in the 2010 Jamberoo Junior Open Competition on Thursday.

Travis Smyth from Wollongong was the Boy’s Gross Winner with Nowra’s Amelia Stannard taking the Girl’s title.

The course was in excellent condition but the tight Jamberoo layout once again was up to the task and thoroughly tested the skills of all participants.

The competition was conducted in a stroke format for boys with handicaps 0 to 12, with boys with higher handicaps and the girls playing a stableford competition.

Division 1 Gross Winner: Travis Smyth (Hcp 3), Wollongong, 74

Division 1 Nett Winner: David Woodall (Hcp 7), St George’s basin, 67

Division 2 Winner: Joshua Curtis (Hcp 25), Mollymook, 40 points c/b

Division 2 Runner Up: Justin Schouten ( Hcp 13), Port Kembla, 40 points

Girls Winner: Amelia Stannard (Hcp 9), Nowra, 38 points

Girls Runner Up: Stefanie Hall (Hcp 21), Port Kembla, 35 points
