14th April 2015 Competition
Due to the Easter break, the Vets day was pushed back a week to the 14th April. A number of our Vets have been away on their annual pilgrimage to Wellington and I have been told that our own Kenny Dickson cleaned up in the men’s comp and Betty Dillon from Nowra won the ladies. As a result of some of our members being away, combined with the Easter weekend, the numbers for today’s comp were down to 45 and the winners were:

Mollymook trip 11th May 2015
If anyone is interested in travelling to Mollymook for our annual clash on Monday 11th May, can you please put your name on the list in the starters shed.
Lake Macquarie Classic
This tournament is to be held at the Toronto Country Club from Monday 29th June to Friday 3rd July 2015. The nomination form will be in the Vets folder in the Golfers Lounge area.
Gerringong Golf Club
This is a reminder that Gerringong holds its Vet days for both men and ladies on the second Monday of every month as well as the 5th Tuesday when this occurs.
Trevor Bell Shield
The good news is that we are still the leading club, but we are still tied with everyone else. The day was scheduled to be played on Monday 21st April at The Grange but due to flooding on the front nine, the day’s competition was abandoned. There is a possibility that the round might be rescheduled to the vacant month of July, and this will be decided during the next meeting of the Illawarra Veteran Golfers Association.
Next month’s competition will be at Kiama on Monday 18th May 2015. The nomination sheet is on the board outside the starters shed. If anyone is interested in playing in the team, can you please put your name on the list because it is important to have reserves that we can call on from time to time. The shield has finally been mounted in the golfer’s lounge beneath the “results” screen in the golfer’s lounge.
