THE flame tree is in bloom on the 13th hole at Jamberoo and it has us thinking that maybe we could name our holes like they do at Augusta using botanical or geographical features.
The 13th would naturally become ‘Flame Tree’. The 11th could be called ‘She-oak’ after the trees lining the hole. The 12th could become ‘Minamurra’ after the river. Maybe the 1st could be called ‘Hyam’s Creek’?

I agree. Jacaranda seems appropriate especially right now with the trees being in bloom.

Was that Hymns as in singing Col (or was it praying that the ball would get over)? Some of your other names need a story!!
I vote that the 5th be renamed “arrrrgghhhh” after the commonly heard call of native golfers upon their approach to the green!
This seems to be a common response to this hole often prefixed by the word F—–G. Perhaps a less descriptive name can be found!!
