The forecasters got it right with strong winds, gusting up to 100km/hr roaring in at 10 am causing many scores to be ‘blown’ out.
Girls’ winner on the day was Danielle Vasquez from Port Kembla with a score of 91 on a countback over St Michaels junior Stephanie Hall.
Boys’ winner was Jason Harding from Kareela with 80 on a countback over his brother Shane.
Shane managed to eagle the 12th hole in the westerly, a terrific wedge going straight into the hole.
Nett winner was William Grimm, from Kareela, with 68 overThomas Heaton from Port Kembla with 74.
In the Stableford section Brendan Armstrong from Kiama with 37 points was the winner over Sam Tyne from Kiama.
In the nine-hole section Selena Bosevski from Port Kembla held off Jamberoo juniors Laura and Daniel McCombe.
