Volunteers to the ‘Fore’.

Last Friday saw another successful working bee with 20 well-prepared volunteers turning out to help maintain gardens on the front 9 holes. Many thanks to Gary Brickell for his kind donation of gardening gloves for the volunteers. The aim of these early working bees is to remove noxious weeds and mulch the garden beds to improve their appearance.

This month, groups focused on the gardens alongside the driveway and the tee areas of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 9th / 10th holes. Congratulations to everyone on their combined efforts on the day. In the next couple of months, more general maintenance tasks will be added, as well as the ongoing gardening activities.

The next scheduled working bee is Friday, 25th August. Work starts at 8.30am and finishes at 12.00 noon for a sausage sizzle lunch.

Hope to see you there!

The second round will be played on Sunday 7th of August.

The third round on Saturday 13th August and the final round on Sunday 14th of August.

The top 4 gross in each grade as determined after round 3 will be seeded for round 4.

Should there be any ties for a club championship in any grade then a playoff will be conducted.

The comp fee for this event is $20 per round.

Mens ECLECTIC

The Mens Eclectic commences Wednesday 2nd August and concludes Saturday the 4th of November.

Each year the club runs an eclectic competition across all individual competition rounds from August 2 to November 4. The lowest score made on each hole across these rounds is recorded, producing an 18 hole score, giving each player a Gross Eclectic score. Each players final handicap (half the one which the player plays their final stroke round on) is then used to determine a Net Eclectic score by having this handicap and taking it from the players Gross Eclectic score.
