Women’s Pennants Results

Well done to our Silver team for its gallant win at Russell Vale today. With carts not allowed it made a difficult task for a couple of our players.

Jenelle Anderson won 7/5

Lyn Kuskey won 5/4

Jenny Gray won 6/4

Margaret Cook won 6/4

Gail Rutledge lost on 18th hole 2 down

The Jamberoo team is equal 1st.

The Bronze team’s match was washed out after heavy rain on the weekend.

Bronze is only 1 point behind 1st place.

Good luck to both teams next week.

Mens Vets Championship

Congratulations to Arthur Bosanquet on the defence of his Mens Veterans Championship which was played last Monday under good conditions.

Arthur fired an excellent 73 off the stick to win the 2023 Championship. His round was 8 better than that of Mal Hoy on 81 with Craig Foster and Ken Holt next on 82.

Ken Holt was the Nett winner with a sensational 63, two ahead of Rodney Poidevin.

Arthur is to be commended on his win which is certainly due to a commitment to practice and a dedicated warm up routine. Well played and well deserved.

Vale Betty

Thank you Betty for the many things you have done to help our golf club, and indeed, the whole of the Kiama community during your lifetime of service.

I am sure you would be pleased with the number of Jamberoo members, and the many others, who attended your funeral today all showing their highest regard for your efforts over your life and for which you so rightfully deserve.

You will be missed.

To share her last thoughts,

“Into the presence I come

Not by the things I have done

But by thy grace, thy grace alone

Into thy presence I come”

Sadly missed but forever in our hearts.

  1. Such a beautiful person and so switched on to the necessity of working in the shop.
Always pleasant and a joy to be around.
