Simple Swing Tips Vol 1 Tip 2 – Balance in the Follow-Through

In our first instalment we demonstrated the concept of “staying at one with the ball” long after it has left the club.

Here, leading Jamberoo golfing role model Michael R Bartlett superbly demonstrates another often overlooked benefit of focussing on the follow-through, to finish and beyond in the modern golf swing.

In this video Michael shows that by remaining balanced, stationary and relaxed after his body has finished “turning”, he is able to feel the faintest zephyr of breeze brush his face – and thus provide himself with the inspiration to come up with an (almost) plausible excuse for completely missing the green on this very short par 3.

  1. I like the way that T4 has his weight shifting towards his target, and those sudden unexpected zephyrs can cause havoc with the result of a golf swing. Even on a very short hole.
