News from the Course – January 31

February Calendar of Events

Vets please note Monday 20th of February. No vets golf that day.

First Veterans BBQ Day for 2023 receives good reviews

It was pleasing to see the smiles on the faces of the Jamberoo Vets after the 2 person Ambrose last Monday. The object of these days is to encourage each and every Jamberoo Vet member to enjoy competition and fellowship with friends and fellow vets on our beautiful course at a special discounted rate as a reward for their support.

I strongly believe that all of our Vets should share in the benefits of Monday Veteran Golf through these shotgun starts and BBQ’s. Judging by the number of players after the game enjoying the camaraderie with their mates we have made a good start.

The best gross score recorded on the day was a fantastic 67 by the wily pair of David Piccirillo and Kevin O’Rourke which also gave them a winning nett score of 57.5. The two Mal’s, Hoy and Gane, managed second on a countback with a score of 61.5 over Col and Jenn Owers. Phil Thompson and Tim Reilly grabbed fourth place with 62.25.

Some excellent scoring on the day with a nett score of 64.75 needed to win a ball.

Some members wondered why there were no NTP’s. We will include them next time! Sorry!

And Norbert won a prize again in the raffle!

Warning – Danger Will Robinson!

It is very important, for insurance purposes, that only people with a Driver’s Licence drive our carts.

Certainly you may take a child in the cart with you but they are not allowed to drive the vehicle.

Some might say, “What harm can it be”? Well if something does go wrong then serious injury and trouble may well be the result.

Just don’t do it!
