Cart Usage

For safety and insurance purposes the Board would like to remind our members about a few restrictions on the use of our golf carts: two people maximum per cart; children (under 18) are not permitted to drive golf carts on any part of golf club property including the carpark; standing on the back of the cart is not permitted. These requirements are for the safety of all members and visitors to our club. 

Oaks Automotive Eagles Nest is won

Congratulations to John Anthony who hit his shot on the third to 42 cm to win the Eagles Nest Jackpot of 45 golf balls! It was a great shot that covered the flag all the way.John almost had another ace on the 11th as well in a great ball-striking day.

A cool $135 worth of balls to John.

John Childs hit one close as well but soon received another reward with a shot to 40 cm on the 13th to win the supershot jackpot of $112. Another great shot hit the exact distance required although it may not have become airborn!

Round two Pennants

Oaks Automotive Mens Pennant teams suffer setback

In today’s matches only one of our 3 teams has recorded a win.

Congratulations to the White Horse Cup division 1 team who defeated Shoalhaven Heads 5 -2 at Sussex Inlet.

The C Pennant team crashed today losing 4.5 to 0.5 in an away game against The Links Shell Cove.

The White Horse Cup division 3 team lost a close encounter with Kiama 4-3 at Bowral.

A very pleasing result against the strong Shoalhaven Heads team which sets up the rest of the season.

C Pennant division 1

Graham Ricketts lost 5/3

Tom Zimmermann lost 7/6

Chris Leckey lost 3/2

Mal Hoy squared his match

Ken Bradley lost 3/1

Although it was a loss an important ½ point was gained which may prove crucial later in the season. The C Pennant play home and away and it is always difficult to beat the opposition at their home as it proved today. The Links had the same problem last week at our home.

Next week’s match is against Kiama at Kiama for the “Town and Country Cup”, the annual trophy contested between Jamberoo and Kiama in the C Pennant.

Playing against the strong Kiama team at the picturesque Bowral course, a very close tussle was expected and delivered.

In the end Kiama was able to win the crucial match and record a 4-3 victory over our gallant team.
