News From the Course 18 August

REMINDER – AGM.

Members are reminded that the AGM of the members of Jamberoo Golf Club will be held in the upstairs auditorium of Club Jamberoo on Tuesday 23rd of August at 7.30 pm.

At this meeting the annual financial report will be presented to members by the auditor.

The results of the nominations for Directors will be confirmed and the President will present his report.

Drop Zone on the Ninth

“A drop zone has been created near the ‘footgolf’ hole for those balls coming to rest in the GUR.”

There is no mention of ‘compulsory’ in the rule and, like all GUR situations, the ball can be played where it lies if you wish or moved to the drop zone. The GUR is not fairway and so no preferred lie can be taken if you take the first option.

This ruling has been confirmed by Women’s Captain, Judi O’Brien, in her conditions for play in the upcoming Women’s Championship [see below].
