A very interesting day with late charges narrowly avoided, successful final round chases and close scoring throughout the grades.
The third round is normally considered to be ‘moving day’ but some giant moves were made today under the pressure of the final round.
Conditions were tough with an early morning breeze blowing from the west, but this didn’t stop Vince Brynes, with a 91 off the stick, making up ground on his opponents to claim the C Grade Championship.
Mal Hoy saved his best round for last to grab the nett runner up in A grade after his 68 nett, and Peter Francis and Paul Henderson both fired nett 71 to maintain their positions in B Grade.
