New Veteran Champion Crowned

Congratulations to Arthur Bosanquet who today was successful in winning the Jamberoo Golf Club Veterans Championship in a tight finish.

Arthur managed a very impressive 81 off the stick defeating a gallant Ken Bradley by 2 and an equally courageous Wayne Arnott by 3.

Again the course was playing very difficult and very wet underfoot so all 41 competitors are to be congratulated in supporting this important event on our golfing calendar.

Paul Rodgers is the nett champion after he fired a nett 69 in a very good performance. Wayne Arnott, Gary Eagleton and Ken Bradley all finished 3 shots behind Paul with nett 72’s.

Jim Robb found the sixth hole easy today recording an eagle 2. Well played Jim. Enjoy those 3 balls that you receive as a reward. Unfortunately Jim has been the victim of a ‘wrong score recorded error’ and consequently has been disqualified. I think Jim should ask his scorer on the day for an apology.

There is a lesson to be learnt from this matter of course. Both the player and scorer should check the card at the end of a round, just in case.

It is with the support of our members that Jamberoo will remain strong and I commend all players for their solidarity and perseverance in less than ideal conditions.

Congratulations to our two champions.
