Kingsford Nine

Each week we run a special 9 hole event over the front nine. For a small comp fee of $3 you can play a round and have a chance to win a prize. The event is run in a stableford format with a little difference. Every week you don’t win you get an extra shot on your handicap for the next round until you do win!

Just play your round off your normal daily handicap for the white course and after all the scores are in the extra shots are allocated by the captain as he works out the winners. You can check your status on the noticeboard near the card box along with the list of prize winners.

You don’t have an official AGU handicap, don’t worry, you can still play.

You can start from a handicap of 36 if you are a gentleman, and 45 if you are a lady and I will use your scores to eventually get you an official AGU golflink handicap. Just put your member number on the card and add a star to let me know.

You can play multiple rounds over the week which runs from Sunday to Friday.

See the starter to enter.

What’s the AGM all about?

Congratulations go to Shirley Dixon who has obviously recovered from last week’s shock when she took a blow protecting the club captain’s new car. Proving that good deeds are often rewarded, Shirley fired the best round on Tuesday to win the Dena Kyle Memorial Trophy with a good score of 38 points. Well played and of course – thanks.

John Keeling is back playing and in form. 42 points on Wednesday was a grand performance from our very popular volunteer starter. Well done John.
