Semi-final Reports

Jamberoo Jedi Cowpats 4 defeated Sussex inlet 2 @ the Links Shell Cove

The Jedi Cowpats are one stride ahead of that mighty Mare “WINX” with 33 wins. The Jedi Cowpats would encourage “WINX’s Top Hat and Tails” supporter to drop in to Moss Vale on his way home from Randwick to send the Jedi Cowpats off in Style this Sunday in the Final of the WHC.

All the Dark forces which were evident on our last visit to the Links were not sensed as Jango the Jedi Bounty Hunter and Kassie the wonder dog had completed a thorough clean out the night before leaving this strange Moon eerier than a Hot Tub seeking some fresh air.

The Fresh air was sucked right out of Sussex who had encountered the Obi-Wan Magnetic field outside Nowra sapping their focus and timing

A Jedi Knight who has turned high tech is well ahead of “WINX” record smashing the 18-furlong race in record time, with all the Jedi Knights Jockeys inspired by his galaxy performance.

The only undefeated Jedi Knight is Young Skywalker who rides the sonic booms from the outer galaxies.

R2D2 maintains the competitive thrust of ‘carpe diem’ and demonstrates the spirit we will be taking into the Final at Moss Vale.

Well battled Jedi Knights let’s do Jamberoo proud by flying the WHC flag on Monday week.

The Jedi Cowpat Choir sing this song led by Obi Wan prior to battle …

“Jamberoo, Jamberoo,

We are the Jedi Cowpats through and through,

Jamberoo, Jamberoo,

some say we eat it

some say we live it,

some say we tread in it,

Jamberoo, Jamberoo,

We are the Jedi Cowpats through and through”

C Pennant Corellas 1 lost to Kiama 4 @ Gerringong

Brave Switch-hitting Technique fails to get the Corellas over the line

A fine season has come to an end for the C pennant team as they suffered their first loss of the season to a very good Kiama team. All players on the day played to a very high level but the Kiama players were having a special day out and were unstoppable as most of them were shooting close to par.

The only bright light on the day was Tom who was able to withstand the pressure and come away with a good victory. Chris resorted to a very unusual technique of switching hands to putt to confuse his opponent! The plan was good, but his opponent was on to it and was able to clear his head and come away with a victory. John gave it his all and maybe could have got home if his match was still a counter. Boyd was close as well, but his opponent was on fire on the back nine and Griffo could not have done much more as his opponent just kept piling up par after par.

I am very contented with the effort the players put in this year and we were close. That elusive title remains tantalisingly close but still out of reach.

Sadly the ‘Town and Country Cup’ remains in Kiama hands.

Boyd Sylvester lost 4/3

John Anthony ceded victory with 5 holes to play (match was over as we had 3 losses already)

Tom Zimmermann won 5/3

Wayne Griffiths lost 7/5

Chris Leckey lost 6/5.
