Pennant Semi-finals

Good luck to the C Pennant Corellas and the Jedi Cowpats who play semi-final matches this Sunday. The C Pennant play at Gerringong against arch rivals Kiama for not only a place in the final but also bragging rights in the area and the ‘Town and Country’ Cup.

The Jedi Cowpats play Sussex Inlet at Shellharbour Links and hope to use ‘the force’ to bamboozle their opponents. Some excellent golf will be needed as well.

The seasons appear to be changing if you can judge by the variable weather we have experienced this week – warm and humid, then pouring rain, then mild, perfect for golf, conditions. I have liked the top of the enclosing hills being encased in their misty blankets each morning, a sure sign that the seasons are changing.

Many good rounds were played and good sized fields turned out for our Wednesday and Saturday competitions.

A special mention goes to Ray Pearson who achieved that rare feat of an eagle while playing the second hole on Wednesday. Ray struck his 6 iron nicely and was extremely happy to see it go into the hole. A special prize of 3 balls has been added to his account. Asked whether it was better kicking a goal from the sideline to win a match or to score an eagle Ray was non-committal but thought both options were equally good.
