2017 Jamberoo Mixed Open

Thank you to all of our competitors in the 2017 Mixed Open.

It was a beautiful day to play golf with the course in excellent condition and the weather for once favouring the players.

Andrew and Juanita Robb receive the Mixed Open trophy from Dave Ransom

The winners were Glenmore Heritage Golf Club’s, Juanita and Andrew Robb, who scored a very credible 80 off the stick to win by one from Debbie and John Byrnes from Port Kembla and two from Lorraine and Barry Shoobridge also of Port Kembla. This was the third win for the Glenmore couple and their second in a row, defending their title from last year.

Nett winners were Louise Stoddart and Paul Henderson with a very impressive 67.875 just beating Marian and Warren Fraser who fired a nett 70.125. Nearest the pin sharp-shooters were Debbie Brynes on the 9th and Brian Parker on the 3rd.

I would like to thank Rose Sheath and Sandra Gentle for the excellent luncheon and refreshments after the game and Marie Ransom for her behind the scenes organisation of the event.

It was very nice to see many former Jamboreans play today and we hope to see you all again next year.

For many it was a tale of what might have been and especially for one group who both realised too late that they were playing the wrong type of foursomes. A shame as both teams played very well.

Tony. Shirley, Christine and Pat

The common thread of conversations was that an enjoyable day was had by all and this is the most important consideration.

Congratulations to our winners.
