Overnight Rain Causes Delays

Staff out on Wednesday pumping water out of some of the bigger puddles – here on the 6th. A messy job!

Work continues and spirits brighten as the weather improves a bit.

Unfortunately the course will remain closed over Easter and will be re-inspected Tuesday morning.

We’ll open up as soon as we can.

Vale Bryan

It is with a saddened heart that I inform the members of Jamberoo that popular member Bryan Nicoll passed away last night following a heart attack at work yesterday.

Bryan was well respected and liked by all members and a friend to all. A very handy golfer Bryan represented the club in the White Horse Cup with pride. Bryan had experienced the joy of Pennant victory and will be missed by his ‘cowpat’ team mates.

Details of his funeral will be published as they become available.

RIP mate.

Course improving, but!

Another inspection will be made on Thursday to determine if some play will be possible soon.

The ground is still very sloppy underfoot and it is very difficult to get the tractors and mowers onto the course.

Some photos taken on the course today.

John Keeling and his wife celebrate their Diamond Anniversary.

John proudly shows his certificate from the Queen.

Congratulations to John and his wife Norah on the achievement of 60 years of marriage.

Both were presented with certificates from Prime Minister Scott Morrison, the Governor General of Australia, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), and most prestigiously by her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Congratulations John and Norah. The members of Jamberoo congratulate you both.

Masters Brekkie

A beautiful morning greeted the Cam Smith supporters from Jamberoo at our first Masters Brekkie Event.

Fine food and exquisite coffee greeted our members as we all cheered the charge up the leaderboard by Cam Smith.

A big thank you to honorary cooks Ros and Joe Neilson and baristas Col Booth and Bob Neilson.

An excellent time was had by all and we will be holding similar events in the future.

I was personally pleased to say hello to my fellow members after our extended break.

A great club day.
