Since the first ball was kicked off in the first game of Footgolf at Jamberoo on January 11, 2016, the game has slowly but surely grown in popularity.
A meeting with Footgolf Australia was held in late February and Jamberoo Golf Club were offered to host the Inaugural Australian Open. It was a great success making a profit of $4600 for the club.
Social and other media and help from Footgolf Australia, Shellharbour and Kiama Tourism have all assisted in marketing, with little expense to our club.
The growing popularity of Footgolf during 2016 is reflected in the numbers that have flocked to the play the game. So far over 1800 players have participated for gross takings of $29 000, leaving a profit to the club of around $23 000, not including cart hire, drink sales etc.
The Board of Directors wish to thank all of our members for their patience and support. Thanks needs also to go to the starters, green staff, Kiama Council, Elders and Johnny Warren Foundation for their continuing support of Footgolf Jamberoo.
We are now known world wide and you can follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook (footgolfjamberoo) where we have over 500 followers.
We look forward to 2017 with the Board accepting an offer from Footgolf Australia to host the 2nd Australian Open on November 9-12th, 2017.

Congratulations Jamberoo Golf Club….And a Very Special Mention should go To Sue Paul for her dedication and drive in Promoting Footgolf at Jamberoo. Sue’s time and efforts around the course I am sure have not gone unnoticed. The Starters should also be commended as well.
I recently finished a round of golf on Saturday and observed a large group of aspiring young footgolfers with their parents waiting to Kick Off and also indulging in the Sausage sizzle that was put on by our club…Who knows? The young ones may just be inspired to also have a hit at Golf. This is what we need. WELL DONE..
Regards Ron Hewson.
Thanks Ron. It has been enjoyable showing off our course and there has been a flow on effect of Footgolfers playing golf. Let’s hope it continues.
