Bernie gets a Xmas present
Bernie McG , after weeks of suffering at the hands of Ron C, has struck back on Christmas eve beating his friendly rival 35 points to 34 today. Ron claimed that he ‘gifted’ Bernie the win.

New Local Rule
On the recommendation of the R&A and USGA and on the advice of Golf Australia a new local rule will come into effect in the new year.
A ball accidentally moved on the putting green can be replaced without penalty.
This follows the other recent change where a ball moved by an outside agency (like the wind or gravity) on a putting green must be played from its new position without penalty.
Deliberate movements of the ball will still face penalty sanctions.
More detailed examples of the new rule will follow in the new year.
This week’s results
Warm weather and the approach of Christmas has seen our greens left a little longer in length. Many players are taking advantage of the slower greens and the scoring has been very good. On Saturday 38 points was needed to win a ball for instance.
Matt Tedeschi has refound his form and is firing on all cylinders at the moment with another good score of 43 points today. Back to A Grade with Matt I would surmise.
Lyn Beringer also is in form at the moment with another good score of 38 points on Tuesday.
I hope all the vets enjoyed their Christmas Hams day last Monday with many hams, etc, awarded and everybody else getting a ball. Good cheer was had by all!
