Just a gentle reminder that snakes are active on the course. The photo was taken by our greenkeeper, Martin Boatswain, this week in the water hazard near the 17th green.
Another snake has been spotted in the hazard in front of the 16th green. It would be a good idea to avoid known snake habitats around the course. Most snake bites occur when people threaten snakes in an attempt to kill them. Avoid them and you will be safe.
Gold Medal Playoffs
The winners of the monthly medals played from November 2015 to October 2016 playoff for the gold medal in each grade. Medalists playoff in the first of the new season’s monthly medals in November. The winner of each grade not only wins the gold medal but is recognised on the club Honour Board.
If you are not a winner from the previous year you get the chance to win an entry in the following year’s playoff, as well as a monthly medal.
