Breaking News

The Men’s Pennant semi-finals were played today at Nowra with Jamberoo represented by both White Horse Cup teams and the C Pennant team.

Unfortunately the C Pennant team lost their semi-final 3-2 against Wollongong Golf Club. Another excellent season comes to a close for the gallant C’s.

The White Horse Cup semi-final where Jamberoo Reds played Jamberoo Greens was very exciting. At the half-way point it looked like the Reds were set to win leading or square in 5 of the six matches, but in true ‘cowpat style’, a rearguard effort was put in by the Greens and they squared the match 3-3 after the regulation 18 holes. This led to a playoff between the number 1’s. It took two extra holes but the Greens prevailed to progress to next week’s final at Shoalhaven Heads.

Well played to all of our teams on the day and good luck to the ‘cowpats’ next weekend.

John Duncan

It is with great regret that I announce that our head green keeper John Duncan has decided to tender his resignation. The highly knowledgeable John has served at Jamberoo Golf Club for 26 years and is the person responsible for the great course we know today.

The Board and members of Jamberoo Golf Club wish John all the best for his future endeavours and thank him for his  many year’s of dedicated service.

Charity Day

Congratulations to the organising committee for last week’s successful Ovarian Cancer Day held at our course. 69 ladies participated to raise money for this worthy charity.
