Latest Pennant Scores

The Jamberoo Men’s Pennant teams have recorded strong results in today’s round of matches. The B Pennant team have drawn their match against Moss Vale 2.5 to 2.5 in a very close encounter at the Grange Golf Club. Likewise the C Pennant team followed up last Sunday’s win with a drawn match against St George’s Basin at St George’s Basin, 2.5 to 2.5.

The White Horse Cup Green team had a strong 4.5 to 1.5 win against Bowral at Bowral in a very satisfying performance. The Red team defeated Gibraltar 6-0 in an excellent showing at home. Further details will follow later in the week.

FootGolf Australian Representatives play at Jamberoo

The 3 FootGolf Aussie reps played at Jamberoo today and were very impressed with the course, describing it as ” the best that they have played in Australia”. Simon set a new course record 31, which is 5 under par. That will take some catching.

White Duck Charity Day

The White Duck charity golf day is held annually at Jamberoo to support Prostate Cancer research.

This year’s event will be held on Friday the 4th of March in a four person Las Vegas Ambrose format. Entry is $40 per person and includes light refreshments before the start of play and a drink and lunch. All are welcome. Enter as a single, pair, trio or foursome. Players without handicaps are most welcome to join in the fun. You may enter as an all male, all female or mixed team. For bookings including cart hire call the club on 42360404.

Have you noticed the beautiful and well-maintained gardens on the course? This is due to the hard work of some of our dedicated members. Currently we are looking for helpers to assist them in their efforts. If you have some spare time and wish to help please leave your name and number at the golf shop or office and Margaret Stephens will contact you.

Weekly Results

Monday saw 61 male veteran golfers contest a stableford. Division A winner was Eddie Cram with 38 points and Division B winner was Geoff Evans with 42 points.

Tuesday saw the Ladies Monthly Medal contested and the  winners were Suzanne Lang in Division 1 with 74 nett on a countback over Shirley Walsh. Visitor Maggie Simmons won Division 2  with 72 nett leaving local Lyn Walker in second spot with 76 .

Monthly medalists were Suzanne Lang, Lieve Stassen and Lyn Walker. Margaret Stephens won the stableford with 27 points.

Wednesday was the Drummond Golf Stableford and the voucher winner was Gus O’Brien with 40 points on a countback. Bob Wright and Bruce Piggot were the other winners.

Thursday was the monthly Lady Veterans day and the winner was Janelle Anderson.

Finally Saturday was the Mens monthly medal with 116 players playing. Tony Panecasio was the A grade medalist, new member David White blitzed B grade to take out the medal as well as losing 7 shots off his handicap, Chris Goodwin played solidly to win C Grade and John Keeling won D Grade easily. The Ladies played a stroke round and the winner on a countback was Margaret Cook with 75 nett.
