Latest News from the Course 3rd April

Tree Lopping.

R Neilson, Honorary Secretary JGC.

At last, after a several month wait and protracted negotiations, the council has allowed the club to trim a limited number of trees on the course.

The day that the arborist will be coming to complete the work is Thursday 11th April, a day that will suit our green staff.

The current plan is to focus on tree trimming that day but NOT to close the course; Closure of individual holes will be announced if/when necessary.

Change to MiGolf

The club will be switching to the Migolf software package on Wednesday 10th of April. Part of the change will be the ability to use your phone to enter scores. This is called MiScore and can be downloaded to your phone using the App store on your smart phone.

It is not available for use just yet until we make the switch on April 10.

User name will be your membership number 212080xxxx and password will be the day number and month number of your birthday. If you born on the 6th of October it will be 0610.

Other details will follow.

  1. Fantastic news for members and their guests about the care and maintenance of some of the trees….Just quick question on the new MiGolf scoring. Are we still going to have cards or do we only use the new app to be available on your mobile?

  2. Cards will always be available and to my mind is the preferred option. A new option is to use your smart phone for scoring. Some terms and conditions will apply.

    1. Thanks Dave… just wondering what would happen if my phone went flat on the course. 😂😂😂😂

      1. I have had a look at it and it appears quite good. The new booking system will also be quite good, I think, as well. Still waiting on details of when it will be up and running.
First comp using the new system is on Wednesday, weather allowing!
