Saturday Night from the Course

Congratulations to Pat Paris who has won the Jamberoo Golf Club Stableford Salver with a score of 37 points. This was one better than the fast finishing Charlie Struck with Doug Perry and Al Thrower next on 35.

As for the club championships Ben McEvoy leads A grade after a sensational 70 off the stick today. Given the difficulty of the flag placements this was a sensational round of golf. David Garcia is in second place, Noel Laman in third place and Steve Rippon in 4th place. Lee Hayward in 5th place will join the top three in the seeded group hitting off at 8 am.

B Grade is very tight with Paul Rodgers leading the pack by one from Paul Henderson and Ron Chilby with Blake Raymond and Peter Francis a further shot back.Wayne Griffiths and Brett Fielding are also well placed only 4 off the lead. Several others are also in a good position with a good round certain to put pressure on the leaders. Henderson, Chilby, Raymond and Francis will contest the seeded group at 8.10am.

C Grade is lead by Stephen Young one shot ahead of Col Booth with Scott Lacey and Ron Hewson in the seeded group also close. Hit-off time is 8.20 am.

You cannot win the Gross and the Nett so this means that the Nett event is very open in all grades.

Leaders in A grade nett are Ben McEvoy, David Garcia, Matt Tedeschi, Noel Laman, Lee Haywood, Pete Munro, Con Kiayias, Alan Jones, John Anthony, Steve Rippon and Brad Rimmer with the latter 7 less than 4 shots from third place.
