WGI Pennant Reports – Monday 20 March

The WGI Jamberoo pennant teams are all going very well this year.

The Gold team is undefeated having another 5-0 win against The Grange at the Grange and lead the division.

The Silver team won 3/2 at Gerringong and are currently in 2nd place.

The Bronze team had another win, with a 2/1 win at the grange over Nowra and are co-leaders of their division.

Results

Bronze defeated Nowra 2-1

Cool temperatures, a slight breeze and intermittent drizzle greeted the Bronze team at The Grange today for their encounter with the team from Nowra.

Commencing on the 10th tee, scores fluctuated for Lidia Waine and Kim Oborn, both of whom eventually secured a 3/2 victory.  Rhonda McKinley wasn’t so lucky coming up against a strong opponent and eventually succumbed 7/5.

Next game will be at Callala on 3 April.

Monday Veteran golfers are reminded that the course is closed next Monday 27th of March for Women’s Pennants.

A Vets competition will be held in conjunction with the Wednesday competition as a replacement.
