Members on Tour

Luke and Kim Oborn have recently returned from the Central West Vets Week of Golf held in Orange with good results.

Kim won the nearest the pin at Wentworth before taking out the Division 3 Stableford event at Duntryleague on Day 3. The husband & wife team then combined to win the 4BBB team event also played at Duntryleague to conclude the week.

Another member – Lynne Berringer was also successful at the Corowa – Howlong Vets Week of Golf winning division 2 in her final game. In further news Peter Hackett won at Howlong with a score of 40 points and Rob Maclean managed 4th place at Corowa.

Fishing wasn’t bad as well.

Congratulations to our members who have represented Jamberoo and helped put our Club on the map.

Take care in the carpark please

Our carpark gets quite congested on competition days and spaces are at a premium. It is also a place where you definitely should not travel over 20km/hr due to the amount of pedestrian traffic and the need to turn sharply into vacant car spots.

Last Saturday member Chris Leckey returned to his car after golf only to be thoroughly disappointed to find his car had been hit. The culprit had not left a note nor informed the golf shop of the mishap. Accidents can happen but one should always take responsibility for any such accident.

We are currently checking video footage of the carpark but would rather appreciate the guilty party to ‘fess up’ and inform the club with their details. I’m pretty sure such things are covered by car insurance.
