Plans to redevelop the clubhouse near the fourth hole?

The olde Jamberoo clubhouse

This photo was sent to me from a wandering, homesick Jamberoo member in Ireland. He said it reminded him of our clubhouse seen from the west of the fourth green.

A little poetic licence is needed I guess or a little more Jameson Irish Whiskey.

Jamberoo’s new Firetruck – sponsored by Bernie McGlinchey

Several members had commented on the state of Bernie’s golf cart. It definitely needed a new paint job.

Responding to these comments Bernie has spray painted his cart and it looks brand new being a most brilliant red in colour.

Some have stated that it now looks like a Ferrari, and others, rather unkindly it must be said, like the local firetruck.  Whatever you think it certainly stands out.

Playing partners will need sun glasses!

2019-20 Membership Cards

Last year over 25% of membership cards were not collected and had to be destroyed. The annual cost of producing these cards is close to $500 and as you can understand it is an expense the club can do without.

A card will be printed for all members who request one on payment of their annual subscription. If you, like most of us, never get it out of your wallet then please consider not getting a card.

Your Golflink card has Jamberoo printed on it and this will surely serve as proof of membership if you need it.

Membership subscriptions become due on June 1 and must be finalised by June 30.

Just Bathroom’s 4BBB Cup

Just Bathrooms

The big winners during the week were the team of Stuart Irvine and Bob Neilson who have won the Just Bathrooms 4BBB Cup. Their names will be engraved on the perpetual trophy and both receive $100 from the sponsor Just Bathrooms in their accounts.

Second place went to Peter Francis and Ray Sheehan who both receive $50.

Each of the nine rounds saw winners and runners up receive prizes and all entry fees were returned to players in these prizes.

Thanks goes to our sponsor Just Bathrooms for their support of this new event and to the many players who participated in each of the nine rounds.

With the Indian Summer finally giving way to the onset of windy and cold wintry weather our course showed its teeth this week. Andrew Attard with 41 in A grade, Larry Kent with 38 with in B grade and Laurie Walton with 44 in D grade also shared a nice farewell to the warm conditions.

Tuesday saw Shirley Dixon and Sue Paul grab the spoils and Lorraine Cram score an incredible 25 points in the nine-hole comp.
