Today at Wollongong Golf Club the semi-finals of the Golf Illawarra Pennant were played.
Jamberoo was represented in the C Pennant where their match was against The Grange Golf Club. In a very close struggle The Grange was able to win 3 games to 2. A great season by the C Pennant team concludes.
In the other match Jamberoo White Horse Cup ‘cowpats’ were playing the Highlands Golf Club. In a very tense match where every game was closely contested, Jamberoo managed to win 4 games to 2 to progress to the final next week at Port Kembla against Kiama Golf Club. This result was so close that after Matt Tedeschi squared his match on 18 he had to continue to play extra holes to decide the ultimate winner of the match. Matt succeeded on the 21st hole after a brilliant tee shot on the long and difficult par three hole found the green. This meant the cowpats won the match 4 -2.
