Last Sunday it rained very hard!

All of our pennant teams were affected with those at Russell Vale recording loses and those travelling further afield suffering wash outs.

Let’s hope for better weather tomorrow as all teams face critical games in their respective pennants.

Rules Quiz

Ted’s ball came to rest in a bunker against the rake such that the ball lay at the back of the bunker on a down slope. Which of the following options is available to Ted?

  1. Ted can mark and lift his ball, remove the rake and then replace his ball.
  2. Ted can move the rake and if his ball moves he must replace it on the down slope.
  3. In equity Ted can drop his ball, where it would have come to rest if the rake had not been present

Unfortunately it is not financially viable for the club to continue with these options. Consequently the schemes will be closed at the end of the current membership financial year on May 31.

This means that the only part payment option available will be for two six monthly payments.

Those 22 members affected will be contacted by mail or email shortly informing of the new arrangements.

Jamberoo suffered a large inundation last Sunday but the course has coped remarkably well. So well that preferred lies on fairways have been removed for competitions. Play it as it lies.

The Greens committee is meeting Monday and hopefully some good news will be had. This will be reported next week.
