Saturday Comp Rain Affected
After months of drought who could believe that an important event at our course would be washed out?
Well it happened today!
With the first groups out on the course Friday night’s torrential rainstorm returned and made the greens unplayable. The match committee had little choice but to cancel the round and schedule the Monthly Medal and Gold medal playoff to next Saturday the 25th of November.
Of course, as it always does, the storm cleared and the course was perfectly playable by 11.30 am but by this time all had left.
Lets hope for better weather next week.
Annual Presentation Day
Our annual Presentation day will be held at the club on Sunday 3rd of December. Tickets are $25 a head and include cheese and savouries, the main course and desert. Beer, soft drinks, tea and coffee are included in the price of your ticket. The annual chipping contest will be decided on the day and a ham raffle will be held as well.
Come along and support your club and help celebrate the achievements of your fellow members.
Please make your payments to the club office before the event to reserve your seat.
Seaside and Valley Veterans Week of Golf
On Monday 27th of November and Friday 1st of December Jamberoo will be hosting two rounds of the ‘Seaside and Valley’ veterans week of golf tournament.
Volunteers are still required to help run things on the day. If you can spare some time on one or both of the days please leave your name and details of how to contact you with the starter, or by contacting Lance, Chris or Stu.

As it’s close to xmas and people have there weekend’s planned I think the gold medal should be played in December monthly medal
An idea well worthy of consideration. The only problem is that the gold medals are awarded on presentation day and this would not give us enough time to have the medals made.
If enough people agree with Con then we do as he suggests and make some other arrangement for the gold medals on presentation day. You have until Wednesday to comment.

Hi all .. Unfortunately we did lose today’s Medal play off. If we keep moving the goal posts we don’t really achieve much.. as we get closer to Xmas it is going to be harder again… we already have a bank up with the match play comps not being completed on time for presentation day. What if the course is unplayable again for the 1st week in December…do we keep postponing the Gold medal play off for 2017 until 2018?..
Mother Nature dictates. It reminds me of when I was in the clairvoyant society. We had to postpone our agm due to unforeseen circumstances.
