President Lance Announces Retirement

Lance Fredericks has been a tireless worker for Jamberoo Golf Club, firstly serving as Club Captain for a period of 7 years from 2003-04, and then as President from 2011-12.

He has been an outstanding leader and great club man always involved in all aspects of the club, whether it is helping in the golf shop, working on the course or building bridges.

At a recent Board meeting Lance announced that this will be his last term in office.

On behalf of all the members of Jamberoo Golf Club I would like to congratulate Lance on his dedication to the club and wish him a long and fruitful retirement away from Board business and trust that his involvement will still be of significance to the club.

Thanks Lance.

Missing Eight Iron

Mark C is still looking for his 8 iron after it slipped from his hand last week on the 6th hole and went into Hyam’s Creek. In fact Kris, from Drummond Golf, has informed me that Mark has even made enquiries at their shop just in case it turned up there!

Practice on the Course

Members are reminded that multiple practice from the same spot should only be made on the club’s practice range and not on the course. For practice rounds two balls maximum are permitted.

Driving Licence Check

Photographic evidence has been presented to me showing a cart bogged up to its axles on the 17th hole today in the hazard between the 17th and 2nd holes. Annoyingly the fore-mentioned cart was right near a bridge.

John Hols out. Asks for a 2 cart relief
John “Hol”s out. Asks for a 2 cart relief!

The driver, a well known pie-maker,  was breathalyzed and given a suspended sentence and is now on probation.

Please don’t drive carts through or even near the hazards.
