Upcoming Events
The Ladies 54 hole Club Championship commences this Tuesday. Good luck to all. Play well and enjoy our great course and the challenge of this major event.
White Duck Charity Golf Day for Juvenile Diabetes Research will be held on Thursday June 22 at the club. The booking sheet is in the golf shop.
The Men’s Foursomes Championships will be held on Sunday 25th of June to be played over 27 holes. The booking sheet is in the golf shop so it is time to organise your team and book a time.
The entry forms for the Men’s Individual and Fourball Matchplay championships are also in the golf shop so please put your name down if you are interested in playing in these important club events.
The District final of the KENO Mens fourball will be held at Jamberoo this year. In a change of format this year there will be no club qualifying rounds and any interested teams may nominate to play in the District event. The winners will get to play the state final at the beautiful Bonville International Golf Club near Coffs Harbour with all expenses paid.
Put Sunday August 13 in your diary, and let’s get a Jamberoo team through to Bonville!
Oh What a Beautiful Day!
What a pity so many listened to the forecast by the Bureau of Meteorology (or is it Bureau of Mediocrity) and cancelled today. The ‘best day of the year’ was the often used expression by most that played. The 71 members who played had a great day and enjoyed the dry, warm conditions.
The Platinum Cowpat lets Loose
Did anybody find a Titleist 8 iron in the creek near the sixth today? If so could you please return such to Mark? Apparently ‘that’ tree caught Mark’s ball mid-flight and tossed it in the creek. The ball was quickly followed by Mark’s 8 iron!
Hey, is that your ball?
If you are playing in a comp its not a bad idea to leave stray balls where they lay. Don’t pick them up and put them in your bag, you never know where they have come from and when the owner will turn up ready to play their next shot!
Now if the stray is left behind in a hazard then that is another matter.
An Eagle on the 5th
Congratulations to President Lance for his eagle 2 on the 5th hole in Wednesday’s comp. After a perfectly played tee shot Lance lofted his short iron onto the green and watched with delight as it spun into the hole.
Great shot Lance. Enjoy the 3 balls you get as a special prize from the club in recognition.
