MERRY XMAS FROM THE LADIES

To celebrate Christmas with their golfing friends RUDOLPHS’ BAR AND TRILL was open  at the  11th. For the price of a Trill (any celebratory cheer) Champagne, Baileys or soft drink were served by our resident Elf, along with nibbles. The girls (as we prefer to be called) played 15 holes before a BBQ , more treats  and entertainment were enjoyed.

MERRY XMAS TO ALL .

GOLDEN GIRL

The ladies played their GOLD MEDAL round on Tuesday October 30th, played under perfect conditions.

A fantastic round by Marlyn Wright saw our new Gold Medal Champion for 2012.

Marlyn scored a net 69 to win one shot ahead of Cheryl Legge.

Congratulations goes to Marilyn, especially as it is a nett event and playing off a low handicap (now 12) makes it a super win.

CONGRATULATIONS

It came to the author’s notice that we have a star amongst us.

At the recent Prestigous Women’s Golf  Illawarra Competition, played at the testing Port Kembla Golf Course,

a certain lady, call it the luck of the Irish,  had a “HOLE IN ONE” at the hard 15th hole.

Well the story goes, this lady has had problems with her putting , well she certainly sorted that problem out       (everyone take note !).

At the presentation dinner she was presented with a special badge to commemorate this special shot, apparently the first lady ever to achieve a “hole in one” in this event.

Our Congratulations to Lieve Stassen on her great shot and representing our Club with honour.
