News from the Course June 25

Big Day Out

Last Wednesday, you may recall, was a terrible day on the course. It was cold, the wind was blowing from the west in gale force strength and the greens were running fast with the ball being affected by the wind.  Not so for Michael Sheridan. He had a ‘big day out’.

Michael was successful in winning the D Grade with 65 nett, one of only three from the field of 88 that managed to beat their handicap on the day. He then backed that up with a win in the mystery nine and just for good measure won the US Open comp as well on a countback. A $130 payday. Not bad!

US Open Comp

Thanks to the 42 members who participated in the US Open comp on Wednesday. For those who were not involved, your nett score was matched randomly with a professional’s last day score and the lowest total scooped the pool. Here are the top place-getters in our comp.
