Mixed 4BBB – Keno Club Qualifying Round – 10th April
Shirley Walsh and Tony Panecasio (back nine 21 points, last six 14 points) defeated Marlene Trethowan and Col Booth (back nine 21 points, last six 13 points) on a countback after both teams finished with 41 points.
Both teams progress to the District final to be held at Moss Vale Golf Club on Sunday 10th July.
Bernie claims victory
Last Wednesday Bernie McG claimed victory over Ron Chilby in their daily grudge match. Ron failed to appear leading Bernie to claim that Ron must be scared. On Saturday both played and it was a tie!
President’s team defeat the Captain’s team
For the last 4 year’s we have been trying to implement an annual golf team day where all members are allocated to either the Captain’s or President’s team. Each year we were foiled by the rain.
This year the weather relented and the inaugural match was held last Saturday. If you looked on your card you would have noticed that a P or a C was recorded on the top right hand corner by the starter determining which team you represented. Prizes were allocated to the 3 best scores in each team.
The result of the day was a win for the President’s team -35 to -50 in the par event. The top 20 and bottom 10 scores for each team were used in the calculation.
