Stalwart Jamberoo golfers in rare feat

THE seven stalwart Jamberoo golfers pictured here celebrated an incredible feat in 2008, with each hitting 70 off the stick in a rare…………hang on, hang on. There’s some confusion with the information here. It seems the seven stalwart golfers pictured below didn’t all hit a 70 together, they all turned 70 years of age this year and recently celebrated the fact at Jamberoo Bowling Club. Oh well, that’s quite an achievement in itself. Our full congratulations to them all. Pictured from left to right are Ian Boles, Barry Walker, Barry Hartley, Graham Kuskey, Eddie Cram, Darl Atkins and Lance Fredericks. No doubt having achieved all their other life goals, the seven can now fully turn their attention to something very important – shooting their age. It can’t be all that hard, Gary Player does it all the time. The seven can be assured that as soon as they accomplish this feat the editorial space will be here waiting for them.

  1. Just out of THE ‘GONG hospital yesterday and looking to see how the burglars are doing and found this great new addition to the website.
I have just spent a very relaxing hour poring through the news, particularly the vets news from last week, which I had to miss out on.
I was rewarded by seeing names from the weeks of golf events I helped run for the Nepean Vets 10 years ago, still travelling the state enjoying their golf.
Iwish you well with this new and very good addition and hope to be back on deck at the end of next week.
