Congratulations to Kay Brennan and Bruce Byers for their excellent performance in the Mixed Foursomes Championships played on Sunday 22/6. After a close call last year, Kay and Bruce were able to find that little something extra to compile an excellent 27 hole score of 123 to win the championships by 2 shots from Marie Farrant and Pat Paris.
Nett winners on the day were Margaret Cook and Ron Chilby with a superb nett 98.25closely followed by Marlene Trethowan and Adrian Bell with101.5
Jen Owers and Peter Francis were our nearest the pin sharp shooters while balls went to113.5.
After last week’s freezing conditions it was pleasant to find the weather had relented to give us perfect conditions on the day. All competitors enjoyed a beautiful day on the course and the common consensus was that John Duncan and his staff should be praised for the excellent presentation of the course.
