News from the Course – 29th of March
President vs Captain Day cancelled due to weather conditions
The first annual President vs Captain Day was to be held on the 29th of March. Unfortunately a week of heavy rain, although good for the course, was enough to have this new event cancelled and replaced by a single stableford. 57 members still fronted to play on Saturday and they were greeted by a course in excellent condition with only a few puddles on the 2nd and 14th fairways.
We were lucky on the day as course superintendent, John Duncan, had just opened up the back nine holes on Friday afternoon. John and his team should be applauded for the sterling work that they did in preparing the course to such good condition under such difficult circumstances and allowing the comp to be played.
Changes to April’s golf program
There will be changes to the published program with the Easter Saturday ( April 19) competition now being a 4 person Las Vegas Ambrose (instead of 2 Ball worst ball) and the Saturday April 26th competition changed from a 2 Ball Best Ball Par event to a 2 Ball Best Ball Stableford.

Monday April 28 – Ladies Open Tournament –foursomes
Tuesday April 29 – Ladies Open Tournament – stroke (0-32) and stableford (33-45)
