Jamberoo Golf Club has entered teams in the B, C and White Horse Cup competitions for the upcoming 2014 Pennant Season.

Members who are interested in representing their club in these competitions are invited to submit their name on the relevant sheet which is available outside the Golf shop.

Golf Illawarra has made some changes for the 2014 season. Each game in B and C Pennants will consist of 5 matches but each game will consist of 6 matches in White Horse Cup (handicap matchplay).

The competitions commence on Sunday the 2^nd of February for the B Pennant, C Pennant and White Horse Cup.

B Pennant to defend title

Handicaps in B Pennant range from 6 -12.

In B Pennant we have been placed in Division 2 with our first game against Wollongong Golf Club at The Grange. Other games are against The Grange, Moss Vale, Port Kembla, Shoalhaven Heads and the Links Shell Cove. Our course is to be used on the 9^th of March for the B pennant.

Last year we won the Pennant and we are looking for a strong defence of our title.

C Pennant look to take the final step

Handicaps in C Pennant range from 13 -19. 

In C Pennant we have also been placed in Division 2 with our first game against Vincentia at home. Other games are against Russell Vale, St Georges Basin, Moss Vale and Port Kembla. Our home game is against Vincentia on the 2^nd of February. Last year we placed 2^nd in the division after leading until the last round. After several seasons finishing second it would be nice to believe that the C Pennant are due for greater success this season.

White Horse Cup to build on last year’s experiences

White Horse Cup handicaps are up to a maximum of 24.

We have been placed in Division 2 for the White Horse Cup. The season commences against Russell Vale at Russell Vale. Other games are against Gibraltar, Nowra, Shoalhaven Heads and Sussex Inlet. Last year we performed well improving our position in the group and are looking to build on this experience.

If you feel that you would like to be involved in these representative teams please place your name on the relevant list. We are planning to pick teams mid-December so don’t leave it to the last moment or you may miss out.
