Course Open for Saturday Comp.
The good news is that the course is open for play on Saturday.
We are planning to open the front nine only while repairs are still being made to the approaches to some of the bridges on the back nine and more debris collected.
The comp will be an individual stableford playing the front nine twice. After playing the first nine holes please blend in with other groups playing their first nine.
Please do not use the MiScore app this first day and record your scores the traditional way on a scorecard. Record your second nine scores against the appropriate back nine hole ignoring the par and hole index. Perhaps just record the stroke score only and the match committee will put in the correct stableford points?
Nearest the pins will be contested on the 3rd, 7th and 9th holes. There will not be any drive and pitch on the day.
30cm preferred lies can be taken in the General Areas of the course (fairways and rough) and carts are allowed.
Members are asked to be mindful of the wet areas while using a cart.
Stacked flood debris can be treated as GUR and if the damaged area of the first green interferes with your line of putt then free relief no nearer the hole is permissible. All bunkers are GUR.
Great thanks goes to the dedicated volunteers and our greenstaff for getting the course ready for play after the greatest flood ever experienced at the course.
Dave, how do we check our account details on the new system?
Bruce, the new system is not fully operational at the moment but the ‘player account module’ will be on line soon. In the meantime I believe the old ‘Our Golf’ site still has correct details.
We had to get the golf part operational first as Golflink is changing shortly. All old balances + new winnings are still managed by the Office, but not presently at the golf shop, and will not be lost.

Hi there Dave…. When we play the composite course of 2×9 holes, are we being handicapped on these events? I have been on old system “Our Golf “, and there are no updates on this or our balance accounts. I understand the new system is not operational, but I thought the old system was still operational.
The old system won’t work at the golf shop and will only give you your old balance up to the beginning of April using OURGOLF. Anything you have spent or won in the meantime will be recorded and entered into the membership version in the Office that still is working until the change over.
As for golf, the results are not going to Golflink yet because we are using the front nine twice and we are awaiting instructions on how to handicap this. What’s important is that we are on the course playing golf. Enjoy the free ride for a while.
