Course and Pennant News

Monday and Tuesday Comps

I have been informed this afternoon that the greenstaff will need Monday to clean up the debris from the back nine and mow these fairways and greens.

This will mean that we will play the Monday’s Veterans Competition using the front nine twice as we did on Saturday. Some blending in between the early starters and those off from 8 will be necessary. It worked successfully on Saturday.

Carts will be available to use.

Score your card down the page with the second nine round on the bottom half of the card. Use the handicaps from the front nine both times. If you cannot work out how to find the Stableford scores for each hole just write the strokes taken on the card and I will calculate them for you.

The full course will be open for play on Tuesday.

Today’s Oaks Automotive Pennant Results

After last week’s struggles I can report a positive turnaround for our teams today.

The C Pennant Division 1 were playing Kiama at Kiama. In a great result they drew with Kiama 2.5 matches each. This is very good for the team as getting any points away from home is very difficult.

Pat Paris lost on the 18th,

Mal Hoy lost 4/3,

Ken Bradley won 2/1,

Tom Zimmermann squared his match,

Chris Leckey won 1 up.

The White Horse Cup Division 1 side won their match 5-2 playing Gerringong at St Georges Basin.

Alan Jones won 5/4,

John Anthony lost on the 18th,

Matt Ross won 1 up,

Larry Kent won 3/2,

Geoff Draper won 1 up,

Don Thompson won 3/1,

Phil Gosling lost 7/6.

The White Horse cup Division 3 team had an emphatic 7-0 victory over Shoalhaven Heads at Nowra.

Arthur Bosanquet won 4/2,

Lee Haywood won 3/1,

Anthony Smith won 1 up,

Angus Pinkstone won 2/1,

Brad Jenkins won 2/1,

Peter Francis won 5/4,

Peter Young won 1 up after making a difficult sloping putt on the 18th.

Well done Jamberoo.

Next Sunday the C Pennant play Kiama at home for the ‘Town and Country Cup’ as well as important competition points, the WHC div 1 team play Moss Vale in a top of the table clash at Gerringong, and the WHC div 3 team play Sussex Inlet at Sussex Inlet in a very important game.
