News from the Course @ Jamberoo

Its all happening at Jamberoo this Saturday!

Gold Medal Playoffs.

This Saturday the winners of the monthly medals in each grade from November 2021 to October 2022 have the chance to win the Gold Medal. These special awards are among the most prestigious to be won at the club.

As we are all aware there was quite a disruption to play on the course this year due to course closure. Monthly medals were not contested in March, April and October so a smaller field than usual will contest the playoffs. Check to see if you have qualified.

The rest of the membership who play on Saturday play for the November monthly medal, the first of the new season.

Jim’s Shed is GUR

The area near Jim’s Shed defined by the white stakes is a temporary GUR while the Shed is removed. If your ball finishes within this area then please take a free drop at the nearest point outside this area.

Golden Putter Playoff

The mens golden putter playoff will be held in conjunction with the Gold Medal on Saturday. Don’t forget to record the number of putts you take on your card.

Women’s Gold Medal Playoff

In a multi-event day next Tuesday 3 major trophies will be contested. Firstly the November Monthly Medal (the first for the new season) will be held. In conjunction with this the Gold Medal Playoffs will also be held. Thirdly the Women’s Veterans Championship first round will also be contested. The second round will be played on Thrsday 10th.

Please contact Women’s Captain, Judi O’Brien, to find out if you are in the playoffs.

2022 Mens Eclectic.

Here is a contest that has slipped under the radar with all the excitement around the place. All Mens results from the beginning of August till the end of play this Saturday have been kept and after the completion of this Saturday’s round the 2022 Eclectic champion will be declared. The Eclectic is a special contest where your best score on every hole in the time period is recorded and then summed at the conclusion to give an 18 hole score. Your final handicap is deducted and the winner is then declared.

Here are the top players in contention in order: Jake Willougby, Chris Leckey, Arthur Bosanquet, Daniel Adams, Peter Francis, Alan Jones, Matt Tedeschi, Tim Ashby, Wayne Griffiths, Brad Rimmer, Bob Neilson, Ron Chilby, Rod Poidevin and Greg Quigg. The provisional best nett score is 50 and the best gross score is 58.

Saturday is the last chance to improve on your score. Good luck.
