Action on and off the Course

Brothers-in-law share a moment.

Sharing a cart and the shade under a tree in today’s round, brothers-in-law Mal and Paul found themselves in a predicament on the 13th. Who hits first?

Forgetful Graeme?

After playing his round last week Graeme R put his score-card in the box, took his golf cart back to the collection area, got in his car and went home to enjoy his evening.

The next morning he went out to his car, opened his boot and was very surprised to see his clubs missing. Immediately thinking that there had been a break-in he was preparing to ring the police to report the burglary.

Meanwhile at the club, staff were surprised to find a set of clubs on a cart ready to be put away for the night.

Graeme was delighted the next day to get a phone call explaining that his clubs had been found!

Apparently his mates have been very thoughtful and keep reminding him to take his clubs home after golf!

Hyams Creek grabs another victim

The 2nd round of the championship was just about over when the group with Scott L, Gary B, Matt R, and Greg Q approached Hyams Creek for the last time. [editor’s note: it was on the 8th, a much nicer place for a swim undoubtedly].

Pretty slippery along the Creek it is, just ask Scott.

Seemed a bit cold for a swim.

Has anybody found a cart?

Judi was a bit concerned last Monday. You see, one cart was missing and it was time to put them away. Perhaps there had been an accident or somebody had missed a bridge and driven into a creek?

Search parties were being prepared to find out what had happened.

No worries, the cart was eventually found hiding in the carpark between two service trucks invisible from the shop area. Some wag had left it there after their round.

[Please bring them back after your round to the collection area, if only for Judi’s peace of mind].
