Course and Comp News
Today’s sunshine has been helpful but the course is still very muddy. Regretfully the course will be closed on Tuesday and in all probability Wednesday.
Further inspections will be made Tuesday PM and Wednesday AM in the hope this period of drying weather will have a positive outcome.
In the event that no play is possible on Wednesday then it is planned to hold a combined competition with the Lady Veterans and members on Thursday.
In fact we will play this Thursday regardless.
Weather permitting of course!
Kingsford Nine set to change.
Don’t have time to play 18 holes but still want to play in comps. Then why not play in the club 9 hole competition, the Kingsford Nine?
The Kingsford nine can be played any day Sunday to Friday and as many times as you wish.
It has been decided to upgrade and modernise the Kingsford Nine. The cost of entry will be increased by a small amount to $9 to enhance the prize pool and you may bring a visitor to play as well for an additional $6.
The bonus point system will be scrapped and the results of the competition will be sent to Golf Link to be used in handicap calculations. Thus our new members (and not so new) can play and get a handicap. Juniors are welcome to play.
Mens Handicap Matchplay Championships
The 2022 Handicap Matchplay is on again. Cancelled last year due to Covid we are allowing anybody who entered in 2021 automatic inclusion in the 2022 draw free of charge.
We need 32 players to fill out the draw so please add your name and contact number to the list on the noticeboard.
We will start asap.
